Mr. Bones - $15.00 US

MR. BONES, an award winning independent feature film featuring an ensemble cast of Authoring Action youth, presents a stirring tableau of the modern African American experience.

Synopsis: When three children survive a bus crash that kills their parents, their childhood dies as well — until they find an unlikely partner in grief at the shallow grave of a long lost child in the woods of a desolate park.

Mr. Bones remains a closely guarded secret for nearly 30 years until the authorities finally stumble across him. Hounded by the press, police, pastors and relations, “The Three Ds” begin spiraling toward a showdown at the altar of their dreams, regrets, lost loves and ultimate salvation. Devin, Dionne and Dominique finally have to put their traumatic past in its proper place.

Winner of five first place film festival awards, Mr. Bones marks the feature film directorial debut of author and educator Nathan Ross Freeman, co-founder of Authoring Action. Filmed on a shoestring budget, Mr. Bones also stars Debra Terry (Funny Valentines, Comic View), Jeryl Prescott (Skeleton Key), John Poindexter, Johnnie “Blue” Gardner, Mabel Robinson, and Don W. Newton.
